Kiir reshuffles Warrap State SPLM-IO and SSOA officials, MPs

South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Thursday night reshuffled officials in Warrap State’s cabinet, Independent Commissions, and revoked the appointment of lawmakers, and announced replacements in the state legislature.

The officials reshuffled were from the Sudan People`s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) and the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA).

The president relieved William Deng Kur, Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement (SPLM-O), Chuor Agur Chuor, Minister of Housing and Physical Infrastructure (SPLM-IO), Julien Luka Madria, Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries (SPLM-IO), Diar Deng Diar, Minister for Cooperative and Rural Development (SSOA), and Arop Arop Akol, Chairperson Employees Justice Chamber (SPLM-IO).

The others who were dismissed are; Makur Mabur Anei, a Member Anti-corruption Commission (SPLM-IO), Abdallah Deng Deng, a Member of the Employees Justice Chamber (SSOA), Andrea Mabior Malith, Deputy Chairperson of Human Rights Commission (SSOA), Lual Ater Dut Agau, Member Reconciliation and Conflict Resolution commission (SSOA) and Angelo Madut Deng Gany, Member relief and rehabilitation commission (SSOA).

Kiir then replaced the discharged officials with; Dr. Elia Mawien Atik, Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement (SPLM-IO), Ayik Manyang Agok, Minister of Housing, Land and Physical Infrastructure (SPLM-IO, Achol Lam Bol, Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries (SPLM-IO), Deng Kerbino Akec, Minister of Cooperatives and Rural Development (SSOA), and Arop Arop Akol, Chairperson Employees Justice Chamber (SPLM-IO).

The other new appointees are; Makur Abur Anei, Member Anticorruption Commission (SPLM-IO), Joseph Dau Majok Dau Member Employees Justice Chamber (SSOA), Abraham Mayen Aleu, Deputy Chairperson, Human Rights Commission (SSOA), Angelo Madut Deng, Member reconciliation and conflict resolution commission (SSOA) and Victor Mayen Maker Mayen, Member Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSOA).

President Kiir also removed SPLM-IO and SSOA legislators from the Warrap State Legislative Assembly.

The SPLM-IO legislators removed are; Arop Madheiu Jangkur, Peter Gabriel Manyiel, Nyanriak Justin Deng, Ring Kodok Mabior, Arop Agany Achir, Siliman Mapur Anhier Nyim, and Adup Anyuon Deng.

The SSOA lawmakers who were sacked are Peter Ring Deng Ring, Josephine Nyalang Maker, and Bol Malek Deng Deng.

He replaced the SPLM-IO lawmakers with; Achol Mawien Madhieu, Maker Ubuor Mawien, Luka Beek Beek, Arop Arop Akul, John Jur Bichol, Aguek Marol Awac, and Martin Wol Wol.

The president also appointed Lual Ater Dut Agau, John Bol Ring, and Wetwar Mabuch Marual to replace the sacked SSOA members in the Warrap State Parliament.
