South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Wednesday night relieved and appointed various officials nominated by the Sudan People`s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) in the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA), Unity State and Northern Bahr el Ghazal States.
In a decree broadcasted on South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation (SSBC), Kiir revoked the appointments of TNLA legislators Anna Samuel Pam from Unity State, Leek Malong Yor and Abul Akok Akok, both from Northern Bahr el Ghazal and Gok Malual Banykier from Upper Nile State.
He replaced the former TNLA lawmakers with, Jambiet Mani Jambiet Dua, from Unity State, Anei Deng Alor, and Wel Cuei Lang, from Northern Bahr el Ghazal.
In the Upper House of Parliament, the Council of States, Kiir rescinded the appointment of Mubarak Deng Tong and replaced him with Mador Wol James, from Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, and from Upper Nile State, Banak Bol replaced Moses Malek Chol.
In Unity State, Kiir sacked SSOA’s Lony Wijeil Ket, Minister of Animal Resources, Fisheries and Tourism, and Gatluak Nyang Hoth, the commissioner of Mayendit County, and replaced them with Jal Mut Deng, as Minister of Animal Resources and Tourism and Marko Juong Magok as Mayendit County commissioner.
In the Unity State Legislative Assembly, the president fired Jany Mut Deng and John Gatluak of SSOA and replaced them with Johnson Bek Gai Jal, John Wiljang Chan, and Ring Mathuop Thiap replaced Gordon Kawai Jel Biel who declined the appointment.
In Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, President Kiir sacked Kwan Kwan Athian, the State Advisor for Human Rights, Kuot Kwac Kwany, the Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs, and Awaya Awaya Makuei, the Minister of Agriculture, Environment, and Forestry, Santino Garang Awech, the Deputy Chairperson Human Rights, and Daniel Lual Lual of the Conflict Resolution and Healing Commission.
He then appointed, Leek Malong Yor, the Advisor for Human Rights, Kwan Kwan Athian, the Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs, Garang Chan Atak, the Minister of Agriculture, Environment, and Forestry, Kuot Anyuon Adwong, the Deputy Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission and Gabriel Bol Dut, member to the Conflict Resolution and Healing Commission.
Meanwhile, in Central Equatoria State, the president removed David Wani Joseph, the Advisor for Economic Affairs, and replaced him with John Yohan Bila.
