South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir reshuffled the top academics of the country’s public universities on Wednesday.

The president reappointed John Akec Apuruot as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba and appointed Victor Loku Kuajok as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Bahr el Ghazal.

Kiir also appointed Marial Awou Yol as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Upper Nile and Abraham Matoc as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Dr John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology.

Kiir, who is the chancellor of the higher learning institutions, also named Deng Manase Mach Aluong as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Rumbek.

The presidential decree also appointed two deputies for each university, one for academic affairs and another for administration and finances.
