South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit, on Friday evening, relieved the undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Dams and announced a replacement.
In a decree broadcasted on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation (SSBC), Kiir dismissed Engineer Tom Remis John Pitia and replaced him with Lam Tungwar Kenjuong.
Tungwar, a former child soldier during the liberation struggle who later morphed into a musician, joined politics and has served in different ministerial dockets in Unity State. His most recent position before the new assignment was Unity State Minister of Lands, Housing, and Public Utilities.
It is not clear why South Sudan`s leader made the changes.
