South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Thursday issued a decree removing the Undersecretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sports and appointing a replacement.
In a decree aired on the state-owned broadcaster SSBC, Kiir replaced Peter Baptist Abubakar Abusaka with Debora Akec Kwashin.
In a separate decree, Kiir appointed Peter Baptist Abubakar as the Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The announcements were made without providing specific reasons for the changes.
Last month, President Salva Kiir appointed Dr. Joseph Geng Akec as the new Minister of Youth and Sports after firing Dr. Albino Bol Dhieu.
