South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir has directed local authorities in Northern Upper Nile State to improve cross-border relations with Sudan, a local official said.
Northern Upper Nile’s information minister Albino Wunthou Padiet told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that President Kiir wants cross-border relations with Sudan improved.
He explained that the state governor Deng Akuei had received instructions from President Kiir to improve relations with Sudan’s White Nile State.
Separately, Wunthou revealed that the state cabinet’s meeting discussed the preparations for this year’s agricultural season.
