President Salva Kiir Mayardit today led a delegation of senior government officials to the Russia-Africa Economic Forum in the Russian city of Sochi.
The forum expected to take place on the 23rd and 24th of October will be attended by heads of states, Russian officials and representatives of Africa and international businesses and organizations.
According to the South Sudan Presidential Press Unit Facebook page, President Kiir is expected to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin as well as hold sideline meetings with other heads of state who are attending the forum.
The forum, which will be co-chaired by President Putin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, will is expected to foster trade and investment relations between Africa and Russia.
