South Sudan’s president has invited all state governors to the capital Juba for a general briefing on the signed peace agreement on Wednesday.

President Kiir, according to state media on Tuesday, extended invitation to his deputies, ministers, governors, heads of independent commissions and lawmakers to attend a symposium organized by his office to brief them on the signed peace deal.

Aweil East governor Deng Deng Akuei told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that he was in Juba to attend the briefing by President Kiir.

 “I am in Juba. I came to attend the general briefing by his Excellency the President of the Republic,” he said.
