South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir has formed a committee to visit Maban area in Eastern Nile State and investigate the recent fighting between the host community and Sudanese refugees, a spokesman for the unity government said.
Speaking to reporters after the cabinet meeting on Friday, Michael Makuei Lueth, Minister of Information and Government Spokesman, said that the investigation committee will visit Maban soon.
The fight which started in late December and continued for three days of unrest in the area, resulted in the killing of more than 30 people on both sides. Related story
