South Sudan`s President Salva Kiir Maryardit on Thursday issued several presidential decrees firing the speaker of the Western Bahr el Ghazal State Assembly, Humanitarian Affairs Ministry Undersecretary and reshuffled officials in Western Equatoria, Western Bahr el Ghazal, and Northern Bahr el Ghazal states.
According to a decree broadcast on South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation, Kiir relieved Dr. Kot Bol Nyuar, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, and replaced him with William Chan Achuil.
In Western Bar el Ghazal, Kiir revoked the appointment of Mohamedin Abbakar Mohamedin as speaker of the Western Bahr el Ghazal State Legislative Assembly and replaced him with Andel Wadatala Nasir.
In other decrees, in Western Bahr el Ghazal State, the president relived Andel Wadatalla Nasir, Advisor on Economic Affairs, Julius Vicensio Julu, Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Elia Kamilo Dimo, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Hassen Ngor Aguer, Minister of Roads and Bridges.
He then appointed Khamis Dahia Omar, Advisor on Economic Affairs, Arkanjelo Anyar Anyar, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Rodolfo Andrea Ojeka Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, and Julius Vicensio Julu.
In Western Equatoria, Kiir relived Simon Peter Salawasi, Minister of Land, Housing and Public Utilities, and Ann Felix Abiango Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Joseph Zako, Chairperson of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, Eliakima Eziekel Loti Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission and Joseph Sebit Jal, member Human Rights Commission.
Kiir then replaced them with Eng. James Renzi Bade, Minister of Land, Housing and Public Utilities, Naumba Mariam Obaldo, Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Veronica Ani Michael, Chairperson of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, John Obote Madal, Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission and Juma Wilson, Member Human Rights Commission.
In Northern Bahr el Ghazal, the president relived, Deng Amol Anei, State Advisors on Legal Affairs, Angui Akot Akot member conflict resolution and reconciliation.
He appointed Angui Akot Akot, Advisor on Legal Affairs, and Mayar Awer Yel, Member of the Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation Commission.
All the officials reshuffled were members of the ruling Sudan People`s Liberation Movement (SPLM) and no reasons were given for the changes.
