South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir has agreed to extend the terms of the country’s governors.

South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir has agreed to extend the terms of the country’s governors.

Kiir met on Monday in Juba with the governors from the ten states plus the two chief administrators of Abyei and Pibor in Juba.

Eastern Equatoria Governor Louis Lobong Lojore said their meeting went fruitfully with the president.

“The issue have been referred to the law experts particularly the Ministry of Justice and Advisor to the President on Legal Affairs to see on how those resolutions of the parliament can be harmonized with the state’s constitutions,” Lobong said.
