An armed opposition governor abducted in neighbouring Kenya is being held by National Security Services in Juba, a detainee said.
The abduction of the rebel-appointed governor Marko Lokidor occurred at Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya in December 2017.
The SPLM-IO official was reportedly picked up from his home by people who came with two vehicles.
Kerbino Wol, one of the detainees at the National Security detention centre, told Radio Tamazuj by phone from the detention facility that he and many others were held without trial.
“I am now with Biar Ajak, Abraham Majak and a young man called Marko Lokidor Lochapio. There are more than 300 detainees including foreign nationals in detention,” Wol said.
“I want to say Lokidor who was kidnaped in Kakuma is here. I have not seen those of Dong and Aggrey,” he added.
Radio Tamazuj could not confirm Wol’s account independently. Government officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
