Sudan’s government has accepted to receive war-wounded Yemeni people in order to provide them with medical treatment in Khartoum, according to a Yemeni official.
“I discussed with the Sudanese vice-president the issue of transferring the Yemeni war-wounded people to Khartoum to receive treatment,” said Yemen’s Human Rights Minister Izz al-Din al-Asbahi, after meeting Sudanese Vice-President Hassabo Mohamed Abdurrahman in Khartoum Monday.
The Yemeni official confirmed the Sudanese government promised to set up an appropriate mechanism for cooperation between the two countries, adding that he appreciated Khartoum’s cancellation of visa requirements for Yemenis visiting the African country. The Khartoum government also previously promised to facilitate Yemeni students in Sudan.
