Sudan’s government has called on the new US administration to remove its name from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, while promising to continue cooperating with Trump administration officials.
Speaking to the semi-official Sudanese Media Centre (SMC), Abdel-Ghani Al-Naem, Undersecretary at Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, claimed that his country is working hard to fight against terrorism.
He pointed out that they are still cooperating with America and that top US officials recognize their efforts.
Al-Naem noted that endears to remove Sudan’s name from the list of state sponsors of terrorism was among five topics discussed with the US administration in the past six months.
