The government of Sudan said that it expects to complete its evacuation of citizens from South Sudan within four days.
Sudan started to evacuate its citizens from South Sudan after the outbreak of fighting between forces loyal to President Salva Kiir and First Vice President Riek Machar, which claimed over 300 people and displaced 40,000 civilians.
Amb Haj Magid Suwar al Dahab, the official in charge of expatriate affairs for the government of Sudan, said that for those civilians who have fled to Uganda, they should contact the embassy in Kampala for assistance.
Many Western countries and other neighboring countries including Kenya and Uganda have continued to evacuate their citizens due to fighting in Juba.
Commercial flights are available from the airport in Juba. The American embassy said that the Kenya Airways is flying its regular schedule and plans to send two flights a day this week.
Egypt Air is also flying its regular schedule and will have flights Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week. The American embassy also reported that Air Rwanda was tentatively planning to resume flights on Tuesday and FlyDubai on Wednesday.
