Residents of Sudan's capital Khartoum expressed discontent about an announcement by minister of electricity Motaz Musa to raise power costs.

Several citizens told Radio Tamazuj the government should be apologizing for poor electricity provision, not increasing costs.

The Democratic Unionist Party threatened to withdraw from the government if new costs are implemented.
