Sudan and South Sudan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote cooperation of police on investigations and to train southern cops in the north.
Sudan’s Director General of Police Hashim Othman Hussein discussed Monday with his South Sudanese counterpart Abraham Peter issues of mutual concern during an official visit by Abraham to Khartoum.
Abraham said Hashim expressed Sudan’s readiness to work with South Sudanese police officers as a step toward strengthening relations between the two countries.
The two men also discussed pensions for South Sudanese police who had worked for Sudan’s police, according to a press release.
