The governor of Kapoeta state Louis Lobong Lojore has called on aid agencies to rescue the people of Kapoeta saying the humanitarian situation is deteriorating due to lack of food.
Lobong told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that the region experienced poor rainfall this year leading to poor cultivation and eventually lack of food. He also said the situation is exacerbated by a 6-month delay in salaries.
He urged the humanitarian agencies to quickly intervene and provide food to the people.
