Kajo-Keji Civil Hospital administrator Sekwat Simon Wani said Friday that he received three solar panels, three batteries, an inverter, and one refrigerator from the Kajo Keji Baptist church that will be used for a blood bank.

Pastor Edward Dima of the Kajo-Kej Baptist Church said the donation was worth around one thousand dollars, and said he was also trying to improve the local hospital theatre, which is more than fifty years old.

Despite the donation, the hospital will still not have a complete blood bank. Equipment to transfuse blood directly to patients is still needed.

Church calls for peace

Dima called for peace in South Sudan after the recent violence across the country.

‘’We need a genuine peace where every South Sudanese will be excited to cultivate, will be excited to visit friends and relatives. That is our desire to see that really a genuine peace will come back again to this country’’ he said

The pastor called on the two parties to restore peace and come back to their senses.

‘’Over 500 are here at our church in Kajo-Keji since June 11th. Until the present time we are hosting them here, and they are without shelter, without food and without other supplies. They came from Kansuk and yesterday we gave them some blankets and second hand clothing’’ the pastor added.

He said the church is facing challenged providing food, non-food items, and medication to the displaced.
