Citizens in Sudan’s South Kordofan State have criticized the state government institutions and mosques for calling for war in Kadugli town.

The citizen’s grumbling on Monday coincided with the arrival of a large number of military forces to the state capital.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, several citizens criticized imams for instigating violence as it was in 1990s.The citizen further said Governor Issa Adam and his cabinet ministers have been wearing military uniforms these days.

They criticized the government and mosques for what they termed as “military display” in Kadugli town. The citizens accused the state government of beating the drums of war despite talks about peace and ceasefire previously declared by President Omar al-Bashir.
