Jubek State swears in new leadership of Equator TV

Jubek State government has Monday sworn in the top management of the Equator Broadcasting Corporation, which runs the state radio and television.

Tombe Felix was sworn in in front of the state governor Augustino Jadalla Wani as the chairperson of the corporation, deputized by Juma Lupai Lemi while Martin Paul Baba will serve as the managing director.

We came in at a very difficult time in the history of our country economically and that one will never prevent us to do what we can deliver to our people especially you EBC, you’re the voice of people. People will depend on you to disseminate information, all information,” said governor Jadalla.

Peace, information about economy, development, security and everything, what I need from you is the unity of your staffs and your institutions, that is very important,” the governor stressed.

Governor Jadalla urged the new leaders to work as a team for the media corporation to succeed. “But if you want to bulldoze, yeah you can compel people to do what you think is good but it will be temporary but later they will reject and backfiring you as leader. So spirit of cooperation is very important and also do not abuse your powers, your office against your staff,” he said

The chairperson Tombe Felix thanked the governor for his appointment to run the state media, which was established last year during the time of Governor Clement Wani Konga. Tombe promised to work together with the members of the board to improve the cooperation and ensure that EBC starts it normal broadcasting.

Tombe added that EBC will disseminate good news to the citizens promoting peace and tranquility in the whole country.

We shall also work hard to attract investors to the state and the country at large,” he said, adding that plans will be set to cover the three states created from Central Equatoria State.

The chairperson, his deputy and the managing director were appointed by the governor in a decree on 22 March 2016.
