South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Maya said that his country did not host any Sudanese rebels, pointing out that there are no any Sudanese opposition movements in the South Sudanese territory.
Kiir said this during a joint press conference with his Sudanese counterpart Omar Al-Bashir in Khartoum on Thursday.
He further said South Sudan desires good neighbourliness with Sudan, noting that there are beneficiaries from strained diplomatic ties between the two sisterly countries.
“We are one people in two countries and we want to live in peace,” Kiir said.
The South Sudanese leader pointed out that he agreed with President Bashir to give attention to implementation of agreements signed between Khartoum and Juba.
