Food fight turns deadly

A 29 year old man was found guilty of murder and attempted murder for attacking his friends following an argument over food.

On May 23rd, Chol Aleu fatally stabbed his friend Tong Dut, and injured another friend Khemis Tusin at the Mauna residential trading center.

Aleu and Dut eventually broke out into a fight over the lack of food in their home, and Tusin intervened.

Dut and Tusin left, but Aleu tracked them down with a knife and stabbed the two.

Four arrested after death in Gudele

Four men were arrested in Gudele West area in connection with the death of another man Joppa, police said on Tuesday.

“A passer-by saw a vehicle dropping the body of Thomas Daniel, 34 years old, at the bushes at Gudele – Gurei road on Tuesday,” said Police Sergeant Karlo Minko.

Four suspects were arrested and are currently being held at the Gudele police station.

“The motive of the murder is unknown at this stage,” Minko said.
