A Juba City Council watchman has been killed by unknown robbers on Tuesday, 27 September, in the morning around 2 or 3 am, according to multiple sources who confirmed the incident.
The watchman was on duty guarding a workshop of Juba City Council, near South Sudan Hotel. No arrests have been made.
The attackers allegedly tied the hands and legs of the unarmed watchman before breaking his neck. “I went to the place and saw that the watchman was dead after the criminals broke his neck,” a witness said.
The incident happened some 400 meters from Juba main prison where an operations unit of the National Security Service is based.
