The Sudan-South Sudan Joint Political and Security Committee (JPSC) will allegedly meet mid-December in Addis Ababa to resolve the issue of the Zero Line between the two countries.
A source told the Khartoum-based Sudanese Media Center that the meeting will be chaired by Thabo Mbeki, head of the AU High Implementation Panel (AUHIP) and attended by the Defence Ministers of the two countries.
The source said the meeting is expected to settle the issues still not agreed on concerning the Zero Line on the mutual border.
Once the issue is settled, border crossing points will be opened and the buffer zone will be determined, the source added.
The JPSC recommended this meeting during its 5th meeting in Khartoum last November.
