A parliamentarian representing Twic South County in Jonglei state has accused Boma authorities of violating a cessation of hostilities agreement signed in April between Dinka Bor of Jonglei and Murle of Boma in Juba.

A parliamentarian representing Twic South County in Jonglei state has accused Boma authorities of violating a cessation of hostilities agreement signed in April between Dinka Bor of Jonglei and Murle of Boma in Juba.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Sunday, Juach Makuei Juach, said the Murle community has not fulfilled its obligations to the agreement by not returning the abducted children and stolen cattle within the stipulated time period of one month in the agreement.

Juach further said Jonglei state has respected the agreement by not attacking Boma communities since the agreement was signed.

He also accused the Boma state government of covering up criminals from Murle, saying no single criminal has been identified.

Previously, Boma’s Minister of Local Government said they could not apprehend any suspects from Murle tribe.
