The Governor of South Sudan’s Jonglei state Philip Aguer said his government is working with the SPLM-IO to help displaced people in Bor town return to their homes.
Speaking with Radio Tamazuj on Sunday, Aguer said that some displaced people have contact with the armed opposition.
Displaced citizens have said they will return to their homes when the security situation is stabilized and their homes which have been occupied by local residents and elements of SPLA are evacuated.
Aguer however said his government was not aware of the occupation of displaced homes, adding “if we got any complaints from the displaced people about their homes being occupied we will do the required procedures according to the law.”
