Jonglei governor reshuffles cabinet

The governor of Jonglei State Maker Thiong Maal on Tuesday formed his administration, appointing his deputy and several ministers.

The governor of Jonglei State Maker Thiong Maal on Tuesday formed his administration, appointing his deputy and several ministers.

 Maker, in a gubernatorial decree, appointed Diing Akol Diing, a former state advisor on economic affairs, as the deputy governor.

The appointed ministers:

Elijah Madut Yuang – Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement

John Dut Kuch – Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries

Ayom Mach Jok – Minister of Physical Infrastructure

Abel Manyok Ajak – Minister of Education

Dr. Kwai Deng Kwai – Minister of Health and Environment

Dut Achuek Lual – Minister of Labour, Public Service and Human Resources

 Deng Alier Mading – Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports

 Rachael Amuor Pach – Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare

Atong Kuol Manyang – Minister of Information

Kuot Ajok – Minister of Finance

Separately, Governor Maker removed Bor East County Commissioner Machar Geu Deng and replaced him with Deng Mach Awan.

The state governor also appointed advisors, among them Deng Ajang Duot (political affairs), Isaac Mamer Ruk (peace and reconciliation), Jacob Akech Dengdit (youth affairs), Dr. Agot Alier Leek (special programs) and Lith Aluong Kang (social welfare affairs).
