In a statement issued on Tuesday and seen by Radio Tamazuj, Governor Philip reiterated his commitment to peace and resolution of issues related to child abductions and cattle rustling.
The official called upon local youth on both sides to stop and give the traditional leaders a chance to meet in an attempt to find a radical solution to the issue.
Governor Aguer further said he had a long telephone discussion on Monday with the deputy governor of Boma state, Rachael Anok Omot over security matters.
The statement pointed out that the chiefs from the two states need to discuss, recommend and implement the mechanisms for quick, urgent and comprehensive solutions to the ongoing cattle raiding, child abductions and killings.
