The Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) has denied claims by South Sudan’s opposition fighters that its forces are fighting alongside soldiers loyal President Sava Kiir in Unity State.
Ahmed Tugud, chief negotiator of the JEM rebel group, told Radio Tamazuj that their forces have not entered South Sudan.
Last week, South Sudan armed opposition forces allied to former vice president Riek Machar accused Sudanese rebels of fighting alongside Salva Kiir forces Unity state.
Weirial Puok Baluang, spokesman of the rebel-appointed governor of Unity State claimed the Justice for Equality Movement (JEM) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLM-N), have allegedly joined Kiir’s forces to fight their troops in Bentiu and Rubkona areas.
