Japan donates $200,000 for clean water programmes in Eastern Equatoria

The Government of Japan has donated 200,000 USD for the construction of water resources in South Sudan’s Eastern Equatoria state.

The appointed governor of the proposed Imatong state Nartisio Loluke Manir told Radio Tamazuj Tuesday the citizens of Eastern Equatoria have been suffering from lack of clean drinking water.

He added that the construction of water resources in the area will reduce the risk of getting waterborne diseases. Citizens are drinking water from swamps right now, he said..

The governor pointed out that the work will be completed next year.

He thanked Japan and the Japanese Ambassador to South Sudan for this donation.
