The management of Ivory Bank had shut down its branch in Raja town following fighting between government troops and armed groups in June.

Mawuor Malou, manager of the Ivory Bank in Wau, said that the bank lost an amount of 38 million SSP during clashes in Raja town, saying the insecurity situation affected the bank’s operation in Raja.

Malou explained that the new branch will refund more than 2 million SSP to its clients from Raja for three months period. He pointed out that they will reopen the bank’s branch in Raja town when the security returns to normal.
