The numbers of street children have increased within the refugee camp of Sherkole (Kubri Khamsa) in Ethiopia, without apparent measures in place to address the problem.
Bolis Nango, a camp leader, told Radio Tamazuj that the numbers of unaccompanied children stands at 875 according to the latest count carried by humanitarian organizations operating in the area.
Bolis further said the children are in deteriorating humanitarian conditions without accommodation. He called on the relevant authorities to take care of the homeless and conflict-affected children in the camp.
