Displaced civilians within rebel-held territories of Blue Nile are in deteriorating humanitarian conditions owing to food and medicine shortages.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, Sudi Ibrahim Shamila, head of relief and rehabilitation commission in the SPLM-North under Abdel-Aziz Al-Hilu said that the humanitarian situation of up to 100,000 people in the area is alarming.
He pointed out that the conflict-displaced persons especially women and children are suffering due to lack of food and medicines. He urged NGOs to intervene before their situation deteriorates further.
