The commissioner of Gogrial West County in South Sudan’s Warrap State has expressed concern about the worsening conditions of displaced people from Unity State living in the county.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, the Gogrial West County Commissioner Makuic Arou explained that dozens of citizens displaced by the conflict in Unity state are suffering badly owing to food shortages and lack of shelter.
The official pointed out that the displaced families were driven by the conflict to a cattle camp in Gogrial West.
He further revealed they recently transported the internally displaced persons to an area along the Unity-Gogrial West border.
The commissioner called on the authorities concerned to provide food and shelter to them before their humanitarian situation deteriorates further.
