Kajo-Keji County Civil Hospital has registered about 576 people suffering from different eye defects across the payams.

This followed a two rounds of diagnosis carried out by a visiting medical team from Juba.

According to the county hospital administrator Lekwat Simon, about 71 of the 576 cases were recommended for operation of either one or both eyes. Others were given eye glasses.

Lekwat appreciated the team from Juba saying the county itself does not have a single eye specialist.

“We don’t have eye specialist in Kajo-Keji but only receive those who come on a routine visit,” he said.
