Camps in Upper Nile state’s Maban county continue to receive refugees from across the border in Sudan’s Blue Nile state on a daily basis.

Refugees in camp Doro told Radio Tamazuj they fled ongoing shelling by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). They claimed to have lost all their belongings, including their cattle and are walking to Doro, Jamam and Yousef camps in Mabaan County to find shelter, food and water.

According to refugees already in Doro, hundreds of people - amongst them many women and children - are still en route and to South Sudan.
