Activist and academic Amin Ismail Zakaria has warned of the deteriorating crisis in the Nuba mountains in South Kordofan following a recent trip to the region.

In an interview with Radio Tamazuj, Zakaria described a 'catastrohpic humanitarian situation' with no access to medical services across the Nuba Mountains and at refugee camps along the border.
