About 150 households of internally displaced people (IDPs) are facing difficult conditions in Al Farash area of Rashad Locality amid lack of essential services.

Reliable witnesses on the scene told Radio Tamazuj on Friday that there are approximately 150 families suffering from shortages of food and essential services, including education and health care.

They pointed out that despite the challenges, the IDPs families continue living in these poor humanitarian conditions amid a complete absence of humanitarian organizations.

The causes of their displacement were insecurity as a result of the presence of government-affiliated militias operating in the region. This has prevented most of the farmers of the region from cultivating, which was their main income and means of survival.

The witnesses further warned of a potentially catastrophic of situation in the region if the situation continues as it is, and noted that the IDPs are appealing for humanitarian organizations to supply the region.
