Authorities continue to delay in providing permission to UN humanitarian aircraft to parts of South Sudan. Flights have been disrupted since last week.
The Upper Nile region is among the areas most affected.
“We regret to inform you that UNHAS [UN Humanitarian Air Service] is yet to receive Flight Safety Assurance (FSA) for all locations where it is required,” the humanitarian airline advised users Tuesday.
“Most flights have been cancelled today as a result of this development.” However, flights to Wau, Aweil, Yambio, Rumbek and Kapoeta are expected continue normally, while flights to all other destinations for the coming days will depend on clearances.
