A devastating flood has submerged several homes in parts of the South Sudanese capital Juba on Friday.
The flood follows hours of heavy downpour Friday.
Several residents in Thongpiny, Kubri Albino and Referendum areas have been displaced and some of them had to abandon their homes to spend the night with friends and relatives.
Although no death has been recorded so far, the rains caused a lot of inconvenience to residents in those areas who attributed the flood to poor drainage system.
Properties including home accessories and many other valuable goods were also affected by the flood water.
Radio Tamazuj’s visit also showed many victims scooping the water that entered in their rooms and compounds with buckets.
Some of the victims were seen drying their salvaged items in front of their houses.
They affected citizens called on the Juba Municipality, which has the responsibility over the city, to intervene and help them.
