Citizens in Al Obeid town in Sudan’s North Kordofan have complained about higher water bills resulting from increased tariffs announced by the state government.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, several citizens expressed their discontent against the government’s new policy to collect money from local residents for improvement of basic services in the state.
A local resident who identified himself as Himmet pointed out that many families cannot pay water bills due to low incomes in the area.
