Kapoeta Hospital in South Sudan’s Namurunyang State has witnessed an increase in the number of Hepatitis cases, a medical official said.
Mustafa Lokoro, medical director at the hospital, told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that the number of Hepatitis cases admitted to the hospital has increased from 12 to 15 cases.
He explained that about 12 cases of Hepatitis B were recorded in last month and that they recently recorded three new cases of Hepatitis C. Mustafa pointed to spread of other diseases especially among villagers.
The medical official revealed that there are plans by the relevant authorities to control hepatitis and other diseases.
