Heavy rains have flooded camp residents’ shelters, collapsed tents, and created pools of stagnant water in and around homes inside the UN Protection of Civilians’ site (PoC) in Bor town on Saturday.

Heavy rains have flooded camp residents’ shelters, collapsed tents, and created pools of stagnant water in and around homes inside the UN Protection of Civilians' site (PoC) in Bor town on Saturday.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Sunday, several camp residents complained about deteriorating humanitarian conditions at the camp, saying their homes were flooded or destroyed by the rains.

They also expressed concern that their situation will deteriorate further during this year’s rainy season if they don’t receive aid from organizations.

The complaining internally displaced persons called on aid agencies operating inside the camp to distribute tents to those whose homes were destroyed by the rains.
