Health authorities in Wau state of South Sudan say they received a consignment of medical supplies from the national health ministry last Friday.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Doctor Agok Malual Akec, the head of the ministry's medical committee, confirmed that they received the consignment comprising of medical equipment and medicine.
He said the drugs and equipment will be distributed to Wau Teaching Hospital and health centers across the state.
"We will be strict. If we find these drugs in commercial pharmacies we will punish those found to have smuggled it from the hospital,” Akec warned health workers.
