Health Ministry in Khartoum State urges hepatitis and HIV checkups

The Ministry of Health in Khartoum State has warned that cases of hepatitis and HIV/ AIDS diseases are increasing in the country, especially among foreigners, according to medical tests conducted since the beginning of this year.

In a press release yesterday, the spokesman of the health ministry, Dr. Moez Hassan Bakhit called on families to make sure that any foreign worker employed in houses is not infected by those diseases. He said foreigners should be examined immediately in order to preserve the health of family members.

He noted that the families will remain at risk if the foreign workers are not taken for medical examination.
