A number of firearms and ammunition were found buried in the ground in Babanusa town of Sudan’s West Kordufan State by children who were playing around the area, a military source said.
The source in Babanusa told Radio Tamazuj that the children found firearms, ammunition and military uniforms hidden in the ground. He said none of the children was hurt. He noted that the army came to the scene and collected the items and took them to the barracks.
The source further said the arms and ammunition could have been buried recently during the disarmament exercise in the area in late September.
