Gunmen kill Sudanese herder in northern Upper Nile state

Unknown gunmen have shot and killed a Sudanese herder and wounded another in Wadakona area in South Sudan’s Upper Nile state.

Unknown gunmen have shot and killed a Sudanese herder and wounded another in Wadakona area in South Sudan’s Upper Nile state.

Sheikh Mohammed Yusuf Khater, a resident in Wadakona area, told Radio Tamazuj that an armed group came and attacked Sudanese herders.

Yhe wounded was taken to Kosti Hospital in Sudan’s White Nile state for treatment.

Yusuf added that the attackers took the Sudanese herder’s properties after opening fire on them. He said there have been frequent attacks on Sudanese pastoralists who cross into northern Upper Nile for pasture.
