Gunmen kill SPLA soldier in Hai Referendum

A group of armed robbers shot dead one person in a robbery attempt in Hai Referendum in Juba, according to a relative of the victim.

The incident occurred on Thursday night.

The gunmen who were said to be nearly ten in number raided one of the houses in Hai Referendum shooting dead an SPLA soldier who attempted to defend himself against the armed robbers.

Kon Choul, 33, a SPLA soldier, is survived by a wife and three children.

Following the incident, the gunmen exchanged fire with the neighbors of the raided house and escaped. The source who is a relative to the victim said the robbers were heard speaking in the Dinka language.
