One person was killed in an attack by gunmen in Pochalla County in South Sudan’s Boma State on Sunday morning, a local official said.
Peter Ochudho Ogalla, Commissioner of Pochalla County, told Radio Tamazuj this morning that a man was killed while hunting in Aguludiek area near Pochalla town.
The identity of the victim was not immediately clear.
The local official has accused armed men from the Murle community of involvement in the attack.
Commissioner Ochudho complained over deteriorating security alleging existence of criminals terrorizing Pochalla citizens.
Pochalla is a hard-to-reach area with no good roads linking it to other areas in South Sudan.
